Communities

The NGS Communities service is designed to help NGS users find other NGS users in similar research areas etc.  The aim of the service is to foster interaction between NGS users, enable collaboration and to encourage a sense of community between users of the NGS services.
 
All active NGS users are members of Communities unless they have decided to opt out ensuring that we have the majority of NGS users participating.  If you would like to opt out of Communities at any time then please visit your user account page.

Finding NGS users is easy and Community members can search the NGS user database using key words such as software names, research topics etc.  All user application cases are searchable.  It is also possible to browse lists of users by research areas as all NGS users have been provisionally allocated to research areas by NGS staff.  Again NGS users are free to change their allocated research area at any time by visiting the user account page.

Communities can be accessed through the user account page.

Community members will be able to access other members contact details including name, institution and email as well as their application case so please ensure that you are happy for your details to be shared.
