Root
ROOT is an object-oriented framework aimed at solving the data analysis challenges of high-energy physics, however on the NGS the ROOT package is installed as part of the BioMedical GATE program, as there are similar analysis problems. ROOT may be applicable for other types of analysis as well. You can read more about ROOT on the CERN web site.
If you wish to use ROOT as a stand alone package on the NGS, please contact the helpdesk.
Applications Support
The NGS cannot offer scientific support for applications. However if you require further information or believe there is something wrong with the installation, please contact the NGS support centre.

Please note: When publishing work based on use of the NGS, users should acknowledge both the authors of any programs used (see the individual program web sites, or contact the authors directly) and the NGS directly using the following line:
