25 Oct 2009 : Redevelopment of CertWizard officially kickstarts. We now have weekly progress meetings.
17 Oct 2009 : Yes, a Saturday meeting. IGTF all-hands and TAGPMA meeting. Jens elected chair of the RAT.
15 Oct 2009 : At OGF: Jens gives identity management presentation to Canadian groups planning Shibboleth for Canada. OGF proposes improved guidelines for private key protection.
02 Sep 2009 : Update to training CA announced to operations. DNs change to be consistent with other CAs in hierarchy.
25 Jun 2009 : IGTF release 1.30 - some CAs report Apache SSL handshakes breaking with some type of host certificates. Ours are different and we don't seem to be affected. The IGTF RAT analyses the incident but decide not to issue an announcement as the problem is with middleware.
Glossary
APGridPMA - Asia Pacific Grid PMA.
CA - Certification Authority
EUGridPMA - The Grid PMA for the geographically rather extended EU.
IGTF - International Grid Trust Federation: consists of EUGridPMA, TAGPMA, and APGridPMA.
PMA - Policy Management Authority - in this context, a group comprising national CAs and international grids whose role it is to accredit CAs for IGTF, to manage authentication profiles, to guide governance of grid CAs, to track technical developments in the CA area, and much more.
RAT - IGTF Risk Assessment Team: a team of CAs distributed across the world (so in principle providing near round the clock coverage), analysing "incidents", vulnerabilities directly affecting CAs, eg. MD5 vulnerabilities.
