Choosing Applications

To see a list of available applications on the NGS grid, click on Applications menu in the right window. You'll see a list of applications in a table. We can narrow our selection by specifying search criteria, for example, choosing the Chemistry category as shown below:

Now click on the Find NGS Applications button in the right window, we'll see only the applications in the Chemistry category.

Now find the AMBER application, and click on the load anchor in the My Job column.

On the new page, click on Save anchor to save this job as my job waiting to be submitted.

Let's go back to select another application. In the My Job Summary box below, click the (Browse/Select New Application) beside Application Name.

This time, let's select category BioInformatics and search the NGS applications again. In the new list, let's find applications NAMD and GROMACS, and load them one by one.

After loading all three applications, go back to the select page again. And let's choose all for category, and click on in the right window. And you'll see the three applications we have loaded into our workspace, and we'll try submitting these jobs in the following exercises.
