Connecting Infrastructure, Connecting Research

Are you a software developer?

If you are then you could have a FREE place at the forthcoming Collaboration Workshop in Oxford.

The Collaborations Workshop 2012 (CW12) gets researchers and software developers working together to solve research problems. If you’re a researcher who wants to make more of software, or a developer who wants to work with researchers, the workshop is the perfect opportunity to meet new collaborators.

The two day conference will be held in Oxford (21st - 22nd March) and is a fully interactive affair with no "death by PowerPoint".  The sessions are discussion groups where delegates debate and discuss topics of their choice producing tangible outcomes at the end.  It's a conference where you feel achievement when you leave even if you aren't presenting!  It is an ideal opportunity to network and to meet researchers and developers from other institutions with a view to forming collaborative opportunities.

The DevCSI project, which helps software developers realise their full potential, has partnered with the Collaborations Workshop and are providing free registration and expenses up to £300 for five developers.  If you're a developer and you're interested in this offer, please email SSI and provide your name, contact details, organisation details and a paragraph or two describing any recent work you've completed.

The closing date for this offer is 9 March 2012.
