Dinosaurs and the NGS

Karl Bates from the University of Manchester is a big user of NGS resources and his research on dinosaur gait analysis has just made the headlines in iSGTW.

It's always nice to see other grid outreach channels featuring research performed using NGS resources and this week one of our users has made the headlines in iSGTW.

The article by Danielle Venton from EGEE asks Karl Bates from the University of Manchester about his research into the movement of a dinosaur called Acrocanthosaurus atokensis which is essentially the same size as a T-Rex.  To find out how he did this and how he used the NGS, see the full article "Answering a truly big question: how did dinosaurs move?" in iSGTW.

Karl was also one of the speakers at our Innovation Forum last year.  His presentation from this event can be found on the Innovation forum '09 page.
