The core of a current grid system is the ability for a user to run a task on a remote resource. In order to be able to achieve this in a platform neutral way, an NGS site must install one of the following services:

 

For a new site on the NGS we have documentation on how to install both PreWS GRAM as part of installing VDT, and installing GridSAM.
