NGS at the University of York
Introduction
The University of York Affiliate resource provides access to the University of York White Rose Grid node. As an affiliate resource, generally only users from York and White Rose Grid are allowed access.
Access to the resource is provided for collaborating projects that are using the compute cluster.
Configuration
The University of York White Rose Grid node comprises two clusters inte grated under the same Sun Grid Engine installation. The first cluster (fimbrata) provides three high memory nodes (32GB) with 8 cores each. The second cluster (nevada) provides 24 nodes with 8GB of memory and 4 cores each. The total core count is 120.
Accessing the Resource
The machines can be accessed using GRAM at globus.wrg.york.ac.uk/jobmanager-sge and GSISSH using gsissh -p 2222 globus.wrg.york.ac.uk.
